The Mask You Live In
The Mask You Live In is an exploration of young American masculinity. Compared to girls… research shows that boys in America are more likely to be diagnosed with behavior disorders, prescribed stimulant medications, drop out of school, binge drink, and commit violent crimes or suicide. The question for society is: “Are we failing our boys?”
Post screening discussion with Jason Sikorski, Ph.D. Central Connecticut State University, who educates men about the dangerous societal expectations associated with masculinity… and YWCA Domestic Abuse Services Manager Meredith Gold.
